Certification Advisory Board
Advisory Board
Technical Sales Alliance maintains an Advisory Board composed of experienced practitioners, senior pre-sales professionals, and industry leaders with demonstrated expertise across technical sales, solution architecture, and security-driven environments.
The Advisory Board exists to provide informed, experience-based guidance to ensure that Technical Sales Alliance certifications remain aligned with real-world expectations, evolving industry demands, and the professional standards of modern pre-sales organizations.
Areas of Advisory Input
The Advisory Board provides structured input and perspective across several key areas:
- Certification Relevance and Rigor
Ensuring certification levels accurately reflect the expectations placed on professionals operating in customer-facing, high-impact environments - Industry Trends and Evolving Practice
Monitoring shifts in technology, architecture, security models, and buyer expectations to maintain alignment with current and emerging realities - Ethical Considerations and Professional Standards
Providing guidance on ethical frameworks, decision-making expectations, and conduct standards appropriate for professionals operating in positions of influence and trust - Curriculum Direction and Continuous Improvement
Advising on the structure, scope, and evolution of certification content to ensure it reflects applied practice rather than theoretical or outdated models
Role and Boundaries
The Advisory Board operates in a non-governing, advisory capacity.
It does not:
- Exercise legal authority over Technical Sales Alliance
- Direct certification issuance, renewal, or revocation decisions
- Control operational or organizational strategy
All final authority regarding certification standards, program structure, and enforcement remains with Technical Sales Alliance.
Purpose and Value
The Advisory Board exists to ensure that Technical Sales Alliance certifications are not developed in isolation.
Its role is to:
- Ground the certification framework in real-world experience
- Provide external perspective on evolving professional expectations
- Reinforce the credibility and defensibility of certification standards
- Help prevent drift toward outdated practices or theoretical abstraction
Advisory input ensures that certifications continue to reflect how the profession actually operates, not how it is described in theory.
Contribution Model
Advisory Board members contribute based on experience, perspective, and professional judgment.
Participation may include:
- Periodic review of certification frameworks and standards
- Input on emerging industry challenges and opportunities
- Feedback on certification structure, scope, and positioning
- Informal guidance based on practical, field-tested experience
Advisory contributions are non-binding but are considered in the ongoing refinement and evolution of the certification system.
